Monte Cook

Monte’s been working on games for 20 years and disturbing other players of  games for a lot longer than that. He’s helped create 3rd Edition Dungeons & Dragons and many of its most memorable supplements. He runs his own game publishing company called Malhavoc Press with his wife Sue. Together and apart, they’ve won about all the awards you can win working on rpgs. He’s also written a great deal of strange fiction and even some weird nonfiction. That’s just how he rolls. (He never, however, uses phrases like “that’s just how he rolls.”)

In 1999, Monte attended the Clarion West Science Fiction and Fantasy Workshop, which is apparently somewhat prestigious. His two novels are out of print, so he’s working on a new one. When he’s not working on more games or comics. There are rumors of some book about Conspiracies as well, but that’s all hush-hush.

He lives in Wisconsin for some reason.
