The one true thing about nearly EVERY trip out of town is that when you get back there’s LOTS of work to catch up on. This is CERTAINLY true about my recent Midwest travels. I’ve already spent about two full days on emails and little details for Super Genius Games, and I’m elbows deep in a manga re-write … with three more waiting for my immediate attention. But this weekend I spent a good chunk of time doing cartooning … and that ALWAYS puts a smile on my face.
I did the next installments of Bolt & Quiver and 10×10 Toon for Kobold Quarterly … and I’m VERY pleased with the results. I also did some sketching for a piece that was requested by my alma mater, SUNY-B (now Binghamton University) to use for a fund-raising effort.
As much as I love writing and game design, I LOVE cartooning even more. So any chance I get to spend a few days focusing solely on that, is fine by me.
